In the eleven years I have been a practising social worker I have seen first-hand the impact on people’s lives of mental health, disability, trauma and addictions which gives me a good understanding of how these issues can affect every area of day to day life from relationships to work and home life.
Working in social care since 2008
I am committed to my industry and a member of the following associations.
More info on the techniques
Clinical Hypnotherapy allows the client to enter a relaxed state of mind that is more receptive to outside influences and suggestions thus allowing the way they think or behave to change. It does not mean running around pretending to be a chicken! That would be stage hypnosis a totally separate activity entirely.
The Clinical Hypnotherapist uses various techniques to relax the client and help them reach a trance like state where unwanted negative habits, patterns of behaviour and beliefs can be removed and where desired positive attributes can be introduced; confidence, positive self esteem, the will to succeed. All this is done by communicating with the subconscious mind rather than the conscious mind.
How it can help you
I offer a comprehensive package of therapeutic solutions for a range of issues ranging from weight management, stopping smoking/vaping to building confidence and self esteem. Coming from a social care background I have a special interest stress, anxiety and the effects of trauma. Not just alleviating these conditions but supporting clients with strategies and tools to prevent these conditions returning.
However please remember that hypnotherapy should not be used in place of the care from you doctor for the treatment of medical illnesses. In these instances hypnotherapy should be considered as complementary to your doctor’s care and you should inform your doctor or other clinician that you are undertaking sessions.
